Chop See Kee

In Batu Pahat, there has a famous food relationship which is Wanton Mee = Chop See Kee.  Ah See Wantan Mee has more than 60 years of history. It represents the traditional taste and also as a part of Batu Pahat by giving the important memories to most of the residents in Batu Pahat.

In 1963, the foundation of ‘Chop See Kee Wantan Mee’  who is Chong Ah See and his wife set a roadside stall to sell the homemade egg noodles with the charcoal-roasted char-siu (barbecued pork) and wantan (meat dumpling) to sustain his 8 children. After that, the stall was moved to the current shop and all of Ah See’s children include his eldest’ grandson (third generation) were started to help run their family business until now.

Chop See Kee Wantan Mee’ is famous with its homemade ingredients. All of us think that its noodle is quite different because it is al dente which is neither hard nor soft. Besides that ‘char siu’ of Wanton Mee is also tender because the owner roasted it slowly by using metal tin ovens and charcoal. Moreover, the main role of Wanton Mee which is wanton is also very juicy and it has a sweetness taste and the meat is also very fresh and delicious

Another unique point for ‘Chop See Kee Wanton Mee’ is it is in creamy colour while most of the Wantan Mee is in black colour. This is because the sauce of Wantan Mee is made with the soy sauce, lard and chili sauce.

To make sure can fulfill the customer’s needs, ‘Chop See Kee Wanton Mee’ also has a branch which is Kedai Makan Ah Hua.
