Sham Chun 'You Tiao'

When talk about ‘You Tiao’ in Batu Pahat, the first impression would be ‘You Tiao’ in Jalan Kluang which called ‘Sham Chun’.  ‘You Tiao’ is refer to deep fried dough stick. The business is operate just at the roadside. When we finished shopping at Batu Pahat Mall, we went to the stall to take away ‘You Tiao’. It take about 5 minutes from BP Mall. 

When we arrived the stall, we saw there are many customers were waiting for their ‘You Tiao’. When we walked to the stall, the smell of frying ‘You Tiao’ make us feel hungry. Then, we went to the stall to order ‘You Tiao’ and take the number because they got many customers so we need to queue up. We wait about 10 minutes only for our ‘You Tiao’, this speed is considered fast already because there are quite a number of customer wait here.

This ‘You Tiao’ is very fragrant and it is still crispy. When we taste the ‘You Tiao’, we can feel that its outside is crispy but inside is soft. It is a special feeling that we cannot describe by word. Other than that, while eating the ‘You Tiao’ we can feel there is the taste of sesame.  It is Amazing!!!

The most important is we take away ‘You Tiao’ and drive about 15 minutes to back home, it is still crispy! Besides, the owner of this ‘You Tiao’ changes oil regularly to make sure it is healthy for their customers.

Besides ‘You Tiao’, there also has another stall that selling dessert such as ‘Tao Suan’, black sesame dessert, black glutinous rice dessert and soya bean milk. Its black glutinous rice dessert is very famous but we did not eat that day because it already finish, we feel very sad☹ 

Fortunately, we can buy the other popular dessert which is ‘Tao Suan’. The 'Tao Suan' is fully with beans and sticky, unlike the others, which is watering and consists of few beans only. Normally, ‘Tao Suan’ will with a small portion of ‘You Tiao’ but on that day its ‘You Tiao’ for ‘Tao Saun’ had already finished. Therefore, we match the ‘You Tiao’ bought with ‘Tao Suan’. It is perfect matching of ‘You Tiao’ and ‘Tao Suan’!!!
