Steamboat with Blackball!!! Most of you are familiar with Blackball because it has many outlets around Malaysia and even other countries. However, if we say Blackball in Batu Pahat is special than other outlets, do you believe? Blackball in Batu Pahat has merged with the Drink Coffee Kopitiam and it sells a variety type of food in Blackball Batu Pahat Outlet.

Everytime we go back to Batu Pahat, we will visit Blackball. However, the purpose of our visiting is mainly to enjoy mini-steamboat at there.

In Blackball, we can settle our lunch and dinner. We can choose to order their rice, noodles or steamboat. It steamboat is quite special and it is a mini steamboat. It can be served about 1 or 2 people. You can choose the steamboat that you want the vegetables, pork, chicken, seafood or mushroom steamboat. Then, you also can choose the soup for the steamboat like the original flavour, tomyam, hot& spicy or miso flovour. Berlian Jaya Restaurant

Berlian Jaya restaurant is selling Mee Hun Kuay, Ramen, Mee Hoon. There are a lot of loyal customers who visit the shop frequently. The seller serves a large portion of food, therefore after we finished the food, we feel so full.

Their soup is quite delicious. It is full with fried shallots and ‘ikan bilis’. These ingredients made the soup very fragrant, appetizing and yummy.

Mee Hun Kuay is chewy but without the taste of flour. ❤

Ramen also very ‘Q’. It is made by themselves and it is freshly made after you order. It also has many fillings that can be satisfied you.❤

Dessert! Dessert! Do you like to eat dessert? Batu Pahat has a shop which is Miya Eatery that selling many types of desserts. There also have sell economic rice so you can enjoy your dinner while enjoying the dessert.

Sweet potato green bean soup! Normally, the green bean soup that we eat only has green bean but it green bean soup has added the sweet potato, barley and sago. You can eat many filling while eating the green bean soup.

Black glutinous rice red bean soup also quite delicious. It red bean soup has mixed with the black glutinous rice. It red bean is quite soft and will not too hard. Its soup is full with bean and does not just have the soup only.

Then, there also have sell ‘Tao Suan’. It ‘Tao Suan’ has a match with ‘You Tiao’. When you eat the ‘Tao Suan’ with the ‘You Tiao’. This is perfect! The seller provides a large portion of 'You Tiao' to match 'Tao Suan'.

There also has sell barley bean curd. It barley bean curd has added with the ginkgo but if you do not like to eat ginkgo, you can tell the boss do not put it into your barley bean curd.

The economic rice also has many types of vegetables, meat, tofu, curry and so on for you to choose. It will satisfy your stomach when you eat at there.

'Chao Diao Snack’ 超屌小吃

‘Chao Diao Snack’ 超屌小吃 is a stall that selling snacks in the near to Long Ge’s noodles. It has sell many types of snack. You can choose to order the snacks while you are chit-chatting with your friends.

Attention!!! Cheese Lovers!!! You can order the cheese french fries there. The french fries are full of cheese.  At the moment you bite the french fries, you will realise that your mouth is full with cheese. It is very satisfied for a person who likes cheese a lot.

Then, it also has sell the salad ‘You Tiao’. It ‘You Tiao’ is quite crispy for it outside and inside is very soft. It will not too chewy like you want to bite for a long time. For its salad sauce, it is in mild flavour and not too greasy because we do not like the taste of mayonnaise which is too greasy but it is acceptable for us and feel that it is very delicious.

There also have many snacks that we did not mention but you can go and try it. You will not be regret if you go there.

Lastly, there also has a stall that selling fried carrot cake. You can have a try with what are you prefer to.

Long Ge’s Noodle龙哥黯然销魂面

Another famous place in Batu Pahat is located at the old bus station of Batu Pahat. Today, people especially for teenager frequently go there taking their supper and even chit-chatting at the night time. When we went there, we saw many teenagers and most of them are in a large group.

Long Ge is the owner of this stall and this stall called ‘Long Ge Ang Ran Xiao Hun Mian’ (龙哥黯然销魂面) which means a grief-sticken noodle. This name is come from the noodle and chili sauce make the people feel a sense of losing control and feel satisfy.

The noodles sold are actually noodles of ‘Mi Sedaap’ but the owner managed to cook the ‘Mi Sedaap’ noodles to become so springy and unlike the texture of ‘Mi Sedaap’ noodles.

Other than that, Long Ge did not use the chilli sauce of ‘Mi Sedaap’ noodles, the owner made the chilli sauce by his own and the sauce is quite spicy and delicious. There are 5 level of spiciness that you can try. However, we just try the normal level of spiciness and we feel it is spicy enough and some of us cannot afford it.

If you are a person who likes to challenge yourself, then you can try the maximum level of spicy which called ‘Qu Dao Wan’ (去到完) and it is actually too spicy for a normal people. 

Then, there are variety types of beverage sold in the stall and the owner entitle each beverage a special name. For example the above three layer tea, it is with cincao and name of this beverage is called ‘San Se Cao’ (三色草). It is good-tasting and when you are feel spicy when eating the noodle, it will be the best choice for you to reduce a sense of spicy.

Fried chicken in Eng Kok Kopitiam is a quite yummy fried chicken. It fried chicken is very tasty and it is crispy. Amazing❤You can hear the sound of Crunchy! Crunchy! when you bite the fried chicken.

Amore!!! Have you know Amore Bakery House in Batu Pahat? It is a shop that selling bread, cake, chicken baked bun, Portuguese tart and so on. Amore Bakery also is a bakery which is No Pork! No Lard!

Its chicken baked bun consist of two types. One is the BBQ chicken baked bun, another bun is the Traditional Chicken Siew Bao. It is very very delicious!!! When you bite the bun, it is very crispy even you stay it for the next day breakfast. Inside filling are very juicy! It will not too dry. Its bun is freshly made and we can feel that it is warm when we just bought the bun.

Then, it Portuguese tart also very famous. When we enjoy the first one, you will continue to enjoy another one. It egg is very soft and the smell of egg is quite fragrant. It is very crispy but we suggest you don’t keep for second day to avoid it become soft.

There also have sell variety type of bread🍞 and cake🎂. Its cheesecake also quite nice and it also have a taste of cheese is not too strong so if you are a person who dislikes the smell of cheese, you can try their cheesecake.

Banang Hawker Centre is your best options. There are not only sell many types of foods and also has our childhood memories. It is a historical place.

In Banang Hawker Centre, you must eat satay. The satay is grilled after ordering. Hence, you can enjoy a freshly-grilled satay. There has chicken meat and pork meat for you to choose and the meat is very tender and lack of fatty meat. There also has provided peanut sauce with a little chili sauce, it is very suitable used to dip satay and give you a good mouthful. There are also ‘ketuput’ for you to dip into the sauce and some cucumber to reduce a sense of grease.

There also has a stall which sell ‘Muar Otah’. It is made by the fish meat and the texture otak is very soft. At the first you ate it, you will not feel that it is spicy. However, after finished it, you will feel that it is a little spicy.

Besides that, there also has a stall which sells BBQ chicken. The sauce have improved the taste of the meat and the owner also provide lime for customer to improve the taste. 

There also has few stalls which sell different types of beverage such as ‘8188 Beverage Stall’. The owner will start to blend the fresh fruit after the customer ordering the drink.

All of us more prefer on red bean ice because it gives you a big surprise by showing a lot of toppings such as red bean, corn, cendol and peanut when eating until the bottom of the red bean ice. Besides, sauce of the red bean ice is melted brown sugar and condensed milk.  

Actually, our purpose for visiting Banang Hawker Center is eating the fried oyster at Banang Hawker Centre. It is a very delicious food. Unfortunately, there does not open at that day. Hence, if you have an opportunity to Banang Hawker Centre, fried oyster must be your first choice!❤

Kedai Makanan dan Minuman Wan Siang

Wan Xiang is a shop that has many stalls selling various type of food. There only open at night time and there are many customers enjoys their suppers at there.

Snack!!! In there, there has a stall that selling fried banana🍌, fried sweet potato🍠, fried tofu and salad ‘You Tiao’. Taste of fried tofu is very nice, we like it a lot because it is crispy and inside tofu if very soft. When we bite it, we feel like there are ‘juice’ spited out. When you match with the chili sauce. It is Perfect!!!

Then, its fried banana and salad ‘You Tiao’ also very tasty. Its banana is very fresh and sweet. You can taste the sweetness of banana when you eat the fried banana. When we bite it, we hear crunchy pop!!! It is a good choice for eating these snack for your supper!!!

Fried Carrot Cake!!! At Wan Xiang, there also have a stall that selling fried carrot cake. Its carrot cake is very soft and does not so sticky. Fried carrot cake at there is quite tasty because it is spicy enough.  

There also have a stall that selling noodles, kway teow, and ‘mee hoon’. It open at about 9.30pm or 10pm. When he just start open, you can see that there are many customers queue up to buy his food. He also has the curry for you to match with your noodles.

Kedai Makan Ke Kou (KK) was opened at The Summit originally, but it moved to Taman Flora Utama few years ago. KK sells the cooked wheaten food which are Mee Hun Kuay, Handmade Noodles, Yi Mian, Thread Noodles and Mee Hoon.

It also serves difference choice for customers such as Tom Yam soup, clear soup, dry and dry with Tom Yam. The most famous are Mee Hun Kuay Soup. The soup is very appetizing. Mee Hun Kuay is very thin and ‘Q’, it is suitable for everyone to enjoy. Tom Yam soup in sour and spicy in taste. Tom yam soup in KK is not so spicy. You could try it even you are the person who cannot eat spicy food.

There have provided a self-service area for the chili. Customers can go and take chili from there. The chili in KK is spicy enough. For those who like spicy food, this is the best choice for you.

During lunch time, the shop will full of the customer. Thus, they have also provided a hotline to the customer make a pre-order. Therefore, you can enjoy it immediately when you have come. Because of the many customers, it may take around 30 minutes to get the food. However, it is worth to wait!!!

Watermelon Sago and Banana Sago are full of the sago and chia seed and there is a light fragrance of fruit. For each and every bite, you will be satisfied by the taste of sago and chia seed.
